Dubai is growing New, La Mer

I had a great day with a friend, Lisa, here in Dubai, checking out the newest in Dubai.  La Mer, the newest beach, restaurants, shopping, and parking.

Camel Faces

I never get tired of taking pics of camel faces.  Dubai is fun.  What better place to find camel faces, the camel race track.

2017 03 Sri Lanka Birds in Uda Walawe National Park

Our visit to Uda Walawe National Park, Sri Lanka was so amazing.  I share the wonders of nature, Birds..  We enjoyed an afternoon and morning drive.

Malabar Pied Hornbill sits up in a tree

I have included four pics of the Bee-Eater, it is truly beautiful.  They seemed to want to show off their beauty as we drove through the park.

Painted stork, Storks are virtually mute

The Hoopoe is also found in the UAE

The egret has a way of walking through the water very slowly and gracefully.  This guy did not notice the croc.  And the croc did not notice him, or the croc had already eaten breakfast.

The egret moved within inches of the croc, John captured these pics..

This egrit was not in the park but seems to fit with the birds I am sharing

The Hawk-eagle is incrediable

 

The is an Indian Robin.  He is beautiful.  He looks nothing like our Robins in Canada.

John seemed to spot the iquanas

When we first arrived in the park in the early morning there were many Pea Fowlls in the trees, making lots of noice

Uda Walawe  Lake had so many great photo opts.. The dead trees created a wonderful home for many birds
