Dubai, sharing Karama and The Frame

Another visit to the frame, this time only the outside.

The Frame is 150-metre-high, 93-metre-wide.  The two towers are connected by a 100 sq. meter bridge. 

 

  

Al Karama Paintings

Al Karama is one of the oldest street malls of Dubai, I was delighted to see the paintings.  These are up the fronts and sides of the buildings.  The colour is wonderful.  So much talent.  This is just a small sample.  

I certainly need to make another trip to see more

Playing tourist in Dubai can be fun.
We had a visit to The Frame, in Dubai.

Here are some facts (http://www.thedubaiframe.com);

◆ The frame measures 150 metres high and 93 metres wide.
◆ The two towers are connected by a 100-square-metre bridge, which has a 25-square-metre glass panel in the middle offering a great 360 degree view.
◆ It was designed by award-winning architect Fernando Donis, who also designed Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers, and the Dubai Renaissance Tower.
◆ Exterior design of Dubai Frame was inspired from the logo of Expo 2020.
◆ There is a museum on the ground floor that will showcase Dubai’s transformation from fishing village to metropolis.
◆ It is predicted the frame will become a major tourist destination in the city, like the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab.
◆ The project is worth Dhs160 million.

Our group was the perfect size, my Hubby joined us too.

Dubai is growing New, La Mer

I had a great day with a friend, Lisa, here in Dubai, checking out the newest in Dubai.  La Mer, the newest beach, restaurants, shopping, and parking.
